Daniel Cainer’s Jewish e-Chronicles
(the live-streamed concert)
Honest, edgy, touching and unpredictable; it will leave you tapping your toes and longing for more
- The Jewish Week, New York
You don’t have to be Jewish (or British) to get a kick out of Cainer’s routines - LA Times
Smart, funny, timely; and only slightly irreverent, brilliant rhyming and wordplay, great musicianship and haunting tunes you won’t forget.
Are we talking about Tom Lehrer, or Noel Coward, or Paul Simon, or Eminem, or Britney Spears?
Surprisingly not! But it is musical story-teller, Londoner Daniel Cainer, who’s deeply moving tales about his family and observational comedy are, to use a timely phrase, ‘unprecedented’.
After nearly 100 performances of his multi-award winning off-broadway review ‘Jewish Chronicles’, at the start of 2020, Cainer escaped from New York just in time to avoid being locked down and returned home to London… only to be locked down there instead.
And on June 4th 4PM EST, Cainer will recreate his magical, intimate cabaret from the discomfort of his own home, directly to the comfort of yours. Or perhaps the other way around. So, if you missed him in New York (or the West Coast or the Mid-West or Australia or even in Germany), now you can catch him again, literally from anywhere, in this special locked-down and live concert.
Feuding Tailors, drug addicted rabbis, family fables and foibles, joy and heartbreak, laughter and tears… all of the human condition is here in this highly entertaining hour of unique musical storytelling.
Join Daniel Cainer on June 4th for the special, live-streamed event and be transported to another world… without leaving your sofa.
An ‘extraordinary performer, his songs are at times heartbreakingly poignant, at other times laugh-out-loud funny. Utterly charming, highly recommended
